The Green Building Council South Africa (GBCSA) is pleased to issue a request for proposals from eligible service providers for the customisation of the Green Star Existing Building Performance (EBP) rating tool for industrial buildings.
Interested parties are requested to submit their proposals to the GBCSA by Friday 13 August 2021 at 17:00. No late submissions will be accepted.
The industrial sector has been identified as an area of growth, and the need for a rating tool specifically applicable to industrial buildings has become apparent.
The scope of this project will include the review and customisation of the green building rating tool to make the tool more accessible for industrial building stock-types. In this process, GBCSA will be responsible for the procurement of service providers for the customisation of the green building rating tool. As well as providing technical review input on any proposed customisation.
The customisation of the CUSTOM EXISTING BUILDING PERFORMANCE (EBP) INDUSTRIAL RATING TOOLwill be based off the Green Star Existing Building Performance (EBP) v1.
The customisation will include:
- a suitable energy and water benchmark is found or developed for existing industrial buildings.
- a review of the existing EBP Tool to better align through modifications to the existing assessment criteria and requirements to enhance applicability and appropriateness for existing industrial buildings.
