RFP: Customisation of Green Star EBP rating tool for Industrial buildings

The Green Building Council South Africa (GBCSA) is pleased to issue a request for proposals from eligible service providers for the customisation of the Green Star Existing Building Performance (EBP) rating tool for industrial buildings.

Interested parties are requested to submit their proposals to the GBCSA by Friday 13 August 2021 at 17:00. No late submissions will be accepted.

The industrial sector has been identified as an area of growth, and the need for a rating tool specifically applicable to industrial buildings has become apparent.

The customisation of the CUSTOM EXISTING BUILDING PERFORMANCE (EBP) INDUSTRIAL RATING TOOLwill be based off the Green Star Existing Building Performance (EBP) v1.

The customisation will include:

  • a suitable energy and water benchmark is found or developed for existing industrial buildings.
  • a review of the existing EBP Tool to better align through modifications to the existing assessment criteria and requirements to enhance applicability and appropriateness for existing industrial buildings.
