Role Summary
The Management Accountant is responsible for providing accurate financial information, analysis and insights to support strategic and operational decision making. The role focuses on budgeting, forecasting, management reporting and financial performance monitoring.
Responsibilities
- Leading the month end process to ensure the timely submission of accurate monthly management accounts.
- Prepare and present monthly management accounts.
- Ensuring effective cashflow management.
- Knowledge of IFRS, and a very good understanding of IFRS 15 and 16 as well as IAS 16 and 38.
- Prepare annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
- Develop financial models to support business decisions.
- Facilitate the external audit process, including the preparation of audit file and serving as the primary liaison with the auditors.
- Ensuring compliance with financial policies, procedures and internal controls.
- Supervise the Finance Officers.
- Collaborating closely with departments to provide financial guidance and support on financeārelated matters.
- Support the CFO with Board reports.
- Managing all statutory returns.
Requirements
- Bachelorās Degree in Accounting/Finance or related field.
- Completed or progression towards Honours/Post-graduate qualification advantageous.
- 3 years articles experience or 5-year experience in an accounting role.
- Advance Excel and Proficiency in Financial Systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
