GBCSA recently delivered a 4-day Green Star Accredited Professional (AP) training programme to 14 delegates from SANParks at Skukuza, Mpumalanga.
Facilitated by GBCSA Faculty Vere Shaba and Technical Manager Jenni Lombard, the training aimed to strengthen internal capacity by equipping participants with the technical knowledge required to support project submissions under both the Green Star – New Building and Major Refurbishments and Existing Building Performance rating tools.
The programme forms part of GBCSA’s commitment to embedding sustainability into public infrastructure and conservation-led development. Delegates engaged in a comprehensive learning journey tailored to SANParks’ sustainability goals, with a strong focus on real-world application in protected areas.
“It’s an honour to support SANParks in embedding sustainability within South Africa’s most treasured landscapes. We look forward to working together on impactful projects that set new benchmarks for conservation and green infrastructure.”
— Gretchen Williams, GBCSA Education Manager
GBCSA commends the SANParks team for their dedication to environmental leadership and looks forward to continuing this important partnership.
