Transforming Tomorrow New Build V2 Tool Launch - Cape Town

De Aan-Zicht Lifestyle Estate, Rooiheuwel Rd, Cape Farms, Cape Town Planet Shaper event 05 Dec 2024

It’s been over three years in the making, and a massive task involving hundreds of hours from our dedicated Task Teams. We’re so excited to have reached this point, as we officially launch the next step in our Green Star tool’s evolution to the market.

Green Star Transforming Tomorrow New Build V2 is our next iteration of the Green Star New Buildings and Major Renovations tool. We call it “V2” for short.

With V2 we are aiming to make it easier than ever before to recognise and reward cutting-edge sustainability in buildings.

The V2 approach to minimum requirements includes more credits across a broader range of categories. The tool has a more holistic approach to sustainability, and covers concepts like place-making, ecological regeneration, and local economic development.

  The event:

We invite you, our green building advocates and practitioners, to join us at a special event to introduce V2 into the market and celebrate this important moment for green buildings in Africa.

Please join us at De Aan-Zicht Lifestyle Estate for a presentation on the new tool, followed by your questions and discussion. A light braai will be served, and there will be time for networking and connecting.

The event is hosted by GBCSA and Balwin, who have been a generous sponsor of the Tool over the course of its development, and instrumental in bringing it to life.
