Learn from the Green Building Experts: GBCSA Masterclasses are in Session

The GBCSA Masterclass Series officially kicked off at the end of May, offering a deep dive into various technical aspects of green buildings. The 2-hour sessions vary in subject matter and aim to equip green building professionals, architects, developers and contractors with a greater understanding of green building aspects.

If you are interested in transforming the build environment for the planet and people then join us together with various stakeholders in the building community in our mission to address your building’s sustainability challenges. The sessions are hosted online via our Zoom webinar platform with an informal approach that will allow for opportunity to engage.

The second Masterclass, in partnership with the Don’t Waste Group, offered attendees skills and knowledge to use various tools to measure waste and share insight to implement effective waste management strategies in South Africa. The Masterclass also addressed the new Net Zero Waste criteria and provided insight into how organisations can streamline their operational processes and focus on best practice in waste management solutions.

Our next Masterclass, which will be held on 12 July 2023 in partnership with ProNature paints, will focus on the elimination and control of indoor pollutant sources through the use of Natural Paint Technology, which is VOC-free, contains natural ingredients, is asthma- and allergy-friendly and washable and scrub-resistant. We will take a deep dive into the basic chemistry of natural paint, how to select the correct coatings for various substrates, the various surface preparation and conditions, Volatile Organic Content and potential Toxicity of different paint types, and finally the Evaluation of various Coatings.
