This webinar is part of the GBCSA Academy’s Net Zero programme, equipping participants with the knowledge and understanding to become Net Zero Accredited Professionals (APs).

In order to participate in the webinar, participants must have registered and completed all the Net Zero coursework through the GBCSA Academy elearning platform beforehand. Register for the online training via the GBCSA Academy Net Zero page. 

Webinar content

Duration: 6 hours

This 6-hour session is an interactive workshop facilitated by a GBCSA Net Zero specialist. Participants will engage in real time in a group setting, learning through conversation, questions, and feedback around relevant current content and examples.



Each module of the Net Zero AP programme is dedicated to understanding either Carbon, Water, Waste or Ecology in the context of the built environment. You will learn: 

  • The definition of a Net Zero building, and a Net Positive building for that tool.
  • Pathways to achieving Net Zero or Net Positive through a building for that tool. 

The course content also covers material specific to that tool such as: 

  • Carbon: energy efficiency, renewable energy, and carbon emissions. 
  • Water: total water consumption, water harvesting, recycling and reuse. 
  • Waste: reducing, reusing, and recovering waste streams, and waste diversion for reuse. 
  • Ecology: ecological value, development for greenfield sites, brownfield sites, and existing developments.


Entry requirements

To qualify as a Net Zero Accredited Professional, candidates must hold a relevant degree or diploma from a recognised tertiary institution OR must have two years of relevant work experience

CPD

This course awards 3.0 Category 1 Credits tto each SACAP registered professional.
