Hi All

Welcome to the 2nd official Green Building Council of South Africa (GBCSA) Newsletter since we launched for membership and progress continues at a furious pace!

The 1st Green Star SA Environmental Rating Tool – Office was launched in PILOT form in July and the Council has been receiving industry comment and feedback. Final changes will now be made with the FINAL Version 1 of the tool being launched at our Convention in November.

Plans for the inaugural GBCSA Convention & Exhibition 08 are progressing fantastically with a world-class line-up of green building experts having been confirmed. We’ve been privileged to hear many incredibly knowledgeable and dynamic speakers at international conferences over the last year and made it our mission to bring some of these to address the South African industry!

Green Building Council Membership continues to grow with over 100 members registered! Show your companies’ support of this initiative by joining up and get reduced rates for the Convention and other GBCSA events.

Thank you to you all for your support in sending in comments on the PILOT Rating Tool and registering to attend the Convention – we look forward to meeting you all face to face in Cape Town in November at what’s shaping up to be a very exciting event for our industry!
