The Green Star SA - Office rating tool is for use by new office construction projects and base building refurbishments. Two different certifications are awarded through the same tool: Green Star SA - Office Design at the end of the design phase of the project and Green Star SA - Office As Built following construction completion. Following a review and public feedback period, the Green Building Council of South Africa has issued a revised version of the Eco conditional requirement for Green Star SA Office v1. This revised document replaces the Eco conditional requirement currently contained in the Green Star SA Office v1 Technical Manual. Note that projects registered after 15 April, 2010 must use the revised conditional requirement. Projects registered prior to 15 April, 2010 may choose whether to use the original conditional requirement or the revised version.
The Green Star SA - Office tool is now available for full public use. The rating tool was released as Version 1 (v1) at the GBCSA Convention & Exhibition '08 on 2-4 November, 2008.
